How to make your makeup last long !!!??

I know sometimes most people feel that to ensure your makeup last for a long period of time you have to use expensive products and also primers , which can be true but to me it all depends on the type of primers and products  you are using along with your skin prep and make prep.

Note : you do not need expensive makeup to make your makeup last long, it’s all about your technique. Figure out what works for you and what doesn’t . Understand your needs when it comes to your makeup application and your problems. Understanding your skin type is an big deal as well.

1. Your Skin type ( oily , dry , combination, normal )
    - No matter what your skin type is you most  moisturize. They’re  moisturizers for all skin types , just use the one that’s appealing for you. And also keeping on track with your skin care routine. Exfoliating , oil cleansing, regularly foam cleansing , treatments, masks , facial oil , essence or serums,  moisturizer . Start off with a simple skin care routine base on your skin type .

Note : always let your moisturizer does it jobs first before priming, wait at least a minute or two.)

2. Primers
    - Dont be afraid to use multiple primers at once . For example if you are oily in your T zone use a  mattifying primer or any primer of your choice you believe that helps with your oils , and set it with an translucent powder of your choice . For the rest of your face you can apply another primer of your choice. Most people use primer sprays after applying there  moisturizer.

Note: when using primer that have textures it’s best to pat the product on your skin rather than rub. Wait aleast a minute or two before your foundation application.

3. Foundation
    - Well this is the easy part . Your foundation most match your skin type and if it doesn’t just prep your skin probably before using. I like to blend out my foundation using the patting method with my flat top morphe E31 brush and once I’m finish blending I blend once again with my sponge. That way I’m using less product and the sponge picks up the extra product that’s not wanted on my face and your foundation is blend out perfect. Always set your foundation with a translucent powder or press powder of your choice. Make sure it’s all buff out properly so that there’s no extra product that’s not needing sitting on your skin. Refreshing your skin with an makeup setting spray or refresher after all makeup use . Before it dries down use your sponge and pat down  the rest. Your makeup should look beautiful and last longer a little longer than usual.

Note : never rush your makeup application.

For myself I’m a dry person.
I use the pounds  moisturizer  For dry skin . I let it set for a minute and then I use my nars radiant primer , let that set for another minute and then I use a full coverage foundation that’s matte and has long lasting staying power, which is the nyx can’t stop won’t stop foundation that’s in my monthly favourites . Now normally for a dry skin person your not suppose to use a matte foundation but I never listen . I made sure I prep my skin right and I DO NOT SET this foundation because its already an matte Foundation. Setting it with powder would be too much for my skin . I apply my bronzer , blush , powder highlight and spray a resfresher on my face and I am done . My makeup last for a long period of time because the  foundation is matte ( normally matte foundation hold on more your skin )  and I prep my skin right so that the product doesn’t distribute my skin.

Note : I personal never set my foundation with powder because of my dry skin I’m afraid of powder. After setting everywhere I apply my concealer and applying my bronzer and highlight. My face is pretty much set from all of  that so I just never found the need of setting my face with powder after my foundation application and I never have problem with my makeup not lasting long. That’s why I said it’s best to understand your skin type and figure out your needs and wants and what works for you or not .
